South Bay Curve Youth Baseball ("Curve") is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2021. Curve's primary purpose is to provide a premier travel baseball experience for the local community of players and families at an affordable cost, driven by volunteers, fundraising, and sponsorships.
Curve currently serves approximately 50 players from the South Bay with four teams for ages 9U through 12U. Curve is operated by the parents, who volunteer countless hours of their time as managers, assistant coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, and fundraisers. Without paid staff, Curve relies on strong relationships amongst its families and fosters an environment of fairness over winning at all costs.
Curve's founder, Fabian Fierro, is passionate about giving back to the South Bay baseball community. Fabian played baseball in the South Bay for 16 years where he was voted All Mission League 1st Team for 3 years, Mission League Pitcher of the Year in 1995, and All Conference Pitcher at LA Harbor College before he went on to play for Cal Poly Pomona.
Fabian is the Director of Baseball Operations, recruiting and overseeing the entire Curve coaching staff. Fabian has over twenty years of baseball coaching experience at all age levels, including high school varsity, junior college, and an elite 18U travel team. In addition, Fabian has provided pitching lessons to hundreds of players, ranging in age from 6 to 20.
Curve's philosophy is that FUNdamentals always come first! Curve believes in addressing each player's individual needs while instilling in the players that teamwork is paramount to our success.
To provide a positive environment for student athletes from all areas of the South Bay where they can improve their baseball skills, work together as a team, and learn to respect themselves, others, and the game of baseball.
Please consider donating to support the team.
We depend heavily on fundraising to offset the increasing costs for field time, equipment, and tournaments.
